Bulent Licis: Businesspeople trying to find solutions

Many businesses shut down due to the coronavirus though businesspeople are trying to find solutions.

The coronavirus first appeared in Wuhan, China, on March 12, 2019, and affected the whole world; besides, It also affected the economy so badly. Many workplaces closed down to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce (KTTO) held a meeting in order to find a solution to the economic problem experienced within the scope of combating coronavirus. Many business people attended this meeting.

 

Famous businessperson Bulent Licis said, “Many people die due to coronavirus, and the shut down of workplaces in such a period is a huge factor in preventing the spread of the virus.” He added that “preventing health problems is more important now than the economic crisis.”

Bulent Licis stated that they started an aid campaign for citizens in economic difficulties, and they will do their best to get over this process with the least damage.

The TRNC (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) government decided on a curfew due to the coronavirus, between 21:00 and 06:00 from March 31 to April 5.

TRNC Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kudret Özersay said, “In order to be successful, we must act with a social consciousness. I also believe we will be successful. ”

The first death occurred in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus recently due to coronavirus. A 67-year-old German tourist, who was being treated at the Nicosia State Hospital, has passed. The hospital announced that the German tourist had chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and hypertension.
