The Great Pacific Garbage Patch, a floating plastic island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean larger than the US state of Texas, will now be the source of ‘beautiful, sustainable products’ made from recycled trash.

The garbage collected will turn into products you can ask for,” Boyan Slat, founder and CEO of Ocean Cleanup, said at an event in Vancouver last week.

All items will be made from 100% recycled plastic collected from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.
